HOOPIST TERMS & CONDITIONS

Welcome to Hoopist. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Hoopist website, applications, events, services, merchandise, and related offerings (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing Hoopist, creating an account, purchasing a subscription or product, registering for an event, or otherwise using our Services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Services.

1. ABOUT HOOPIST

Hoopist is a basketball-focused platform designed to organize competitive basketball experiences, including player registration, rankings, events, statistics, media, rewards, and related services.

Specific features and offerings may change as Hoopist develops.

2. ELIGIBILITY

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account or registering for a Hoopist service.

You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure.

Hoopist reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate an account when reasonably necessary to protect the platform, its users, events, or operations.

3. ACCOUNTS

Some Hoopist Services may require an account.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information.
• Maintaining the security of your account.
• Keeping your login credentials confidential.
• All activity occurring through your account.

You should notify Hoopist promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

4. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS

Certain Hoopist Services may require payment of a subscription, registration fee, merchandise purchase, or other charge.

Prices and applicable terms will be displayed before you complete a purchase.

By submitting a payment, you authorize Hoopist and its payment processing providers to process the applicable charge.

Subscriptions, where offered, may automatically renew if the applicable subscription terms state that they do so.

You may cancel eligible subscriptions according to the Hoopist Cancellation Policy.

5. EVENTS

Hoopist may organize or facilitate basketball games, tournaments, leagues, tryouts, rankings events, and other activities.

Participation in an event may require registration, payment, acceptance of event-specific rules, and compliance with Hoopist’s Code of Conduct.

Event schedules, locations, formats, participants, rules, and other details may change when reasonably necessary because of circumstances including facility availability, weather, safety, scheduling, or operational requirements.

Hoopist may remove a participant from an event for violating event rules, the Code of Conduct, or these Terms.

6. PLAYER RANKINGS, STATISTICS, AND RECORDS

Hoopist may collect and display information related to player participation and performance, including game results, statistics, rankings, player profiles, and other basketball-related records.

Rankings and statistics are intended to represent participation and performance within the Hoopist ecosystem.

Statistics or rankings may occasionally contain errors. Hoopist may correct, modify, or update records when necessary.

Hoopist does not guarantee that rankings, statistics, or other player evaluations will remain unchanged.

7. PLAYER CONDUCT

Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and safely.

Users may not:

• Threaten, harass, or intimidate other participants.
• Engage in violence outside legitimate basketball play.
• Intentionally damage property.
• Cheat, falsify records, or manipulate rankings.
• Use another person’s account.
• Interfere with the operation of Hoopist events or Services.
• Engage in conduct that creates an unreasonable safety risk.
• Violate applicable laws or facility rules.

Hoopist may suspend or terminate participation when necessary to protect participants, staff, facilities, or the integrity of an event.

8. MEDIA AND EVENT CONTENT

Hoopist may photograph, record, or otherwise capture media during Hoopist events and activities.

Such content may be used for purposes including:

• Event documentation.
• Social media.
• Marketing and promotion.
• Player and event highlights.
• Website content.
• Hoopist media programming.

By participating in an event, you acknowledge that you may appear in photographs, video, or other event-related media, subject to applicable law and any event-specific notice or release.

9. USER-SUBMITTED CONTENT

Users may have opportunities to submit photographs, videos, comments, player information, or other content to Hoopist.

You retain ownership of content that you own.

By submitting content to Hoopist, you grant Hoopist a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and promote that content in connection with the operation, marketing, and promotion of Hoopist.

You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that your submission does not knowingly violate another person’s rights.

Hoopist may remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or our community standards.

10. MERCHANDISE

Hoopist may offer apparel, equipment, or other physical merchandise.

Product descriptions, images, availability, sizes, and pricing may change.

Purchases of physical merchandise are subject to the Hoopist Return and Refund Policies.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Hoopist name, logo, branding, website design, software, graphics, text, media, and other original materials provided by Hoopist are owned by or licensed to Hoopist unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit Hoopist intellectual property without prior written permission.

12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Hoopist may rely on third-party providers for services such as payment processing, hosting, analytics, communications, scheduling, or other functionality.

Your use of a third-party service may also be subject to that provider’s terms and policies.

Hoopist is not responsible for the independent policies or practices of third-party services.

13. SERVICE AVAILABILITY

Hoopist will make reasonable efforts to maintain the Services but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

The Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, third-party services, facility issues, weather, emergencies, or other circumstances outside Hoopist’s reasonable control.

14. DISCLAIMERS

Hoopist provides its Services on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.

Participation in basketball activities involves inherent physical risks. Participants are responsible for determining whether they are able to safely participate and should follow applicable facility, event, and safety rules.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights that cannot legally be waived.

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hoopist and its owners, employees, contractors, officers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

16. INDEMNIFICATION

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Hoopist and its owners, employees, contractors, officers, and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Services, or violation of another person’s rights.

17. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Hoopist may update these Terms as the Services develop.

When changes are made, the updated version will be posted on hoopist.net with a revised effective date.

Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.

18. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms will be governed by the laws of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
